Mock Packing

This past week I did a mock packing for the trip. It was not fun. First of all I’m not quite sure what mock means and anyways, it was a very laboring 24 hours. The day started out fine–I actually almost didn’t mind it; almost—but after the first hour I started losing interest and got distracted with anything other than trying to find things on the packing list. I mean it can get quite a bit vexing trying to find things that aren’t made of cotton.

In the end it was a very bad mistake to procrastinate. I thought this to myself as I was watching my, at the time unfortunately but always tenacious, mother organize, take apart, rummage through, and reorganize all my clothes. ALL my clothes; not just the ones for the trip, but every single piece in my drawers. Not to mention that she had to comment and question on every one.

So in the end though, am I glad that I sat through hours of harassment? Sure, because now I’m done and can relax and enjoy the rest of our days… except that this week will be even worse… shots.
