Let me sit down for 3 years and read it. At any rate, Cliff if you like Alexi stories (as we all do) I suggest adding this to your global reading assignments…http://speedotheturtle.tumblr.com/ You owe it to yourself to read The Dump, and the article on Adhesives is great over coffee. “My room may sound pretty funky.
But it’s nice and it’s not too junky.”

I have a contact for you regarding Morocco. Our favorite 3rd grade teacher lived there with her husband 7th grade science teacher for several years teaching. There names are Alice and Carl Mendoza. Alice is now following your blog too. They are back on Bainbridge and you are welcome to reach out to her amendoza@bisd303.org with any info you might want on Morocco. They LOVED it there!

– went on a 3 month backpacking trip back in my college days, spent 2 weeks on Greek Islands, including Santorini, which truly is an incredible place (as you know)…

-so…we arrived via ferry on the island of Mykonos, there had been delays and we landed very, very late at night (early morning really) – it was very dark and we were half asleep, it didn’t make sense to find a proper campsite or hostel, so we just jumped in our sleeping bags and plopped down right there on the beach…

-sometime after sunrise, we both woke up and to our surprise, we were surrounded by swimsuit clad sun bathers on towels and lounge chairs!!! Looking directly behind our resting spot was a giant sign that said “PARADISE” …

-so I did some research and found the spot (see link below), turns out it is a “top party beach” although we certainly did not know it at the time!

(in case that link is bad, scroll down and see 4th pic on page http://greekido.com/best-beaches-greece )

…btw, in case you think I am exaggerating, I do have my own photo of us on the beach in front of the “Paradise” sign –

Anyways, thanks for those of you that ready my “little” story and thanks to Cliff & family for helping me to remember those amazing times!

– safe travels :)

I always loved Greece, even the dusty, history soaked mainland. I can understand your desire to stay there for ever. It is certainly Paradise.
