As I read this post, I experienced a flood of memories to back in 2011 when Jim and I took our 3 boys on a nomadic, educational adventure through Spain and Italy for two months. (http://fivewatsons.wordpress.com) Although it was just a mini version of yours, it remains to be one of the richest two months in all of our lives. Coming home was shockingly harder than I ever imagined. I remember feeling, as you mentioned, that nothing had changed…yet so much had changed {within}. Yes, life inside this bubble IS grand. But, I do think it’s so important to get outside and experience life elsewhere. And not just on vacation, but just BEING. Being a family and doing life with all the work, chores, problems, and of course, the fun. I loved your redefined version of “home”. It’s not the structure, where you keep your stuff, or even the place most familiar to you. Home is where your family is. LOVE that! Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy. I can’t wait to continue following you all and to hear more about your trip when you return. Thanks for your posts. Keep them coming!!
