But I wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed your post. When I was 12 I lived in Hawaii and remember scurrying up the coconut trees – but only the really bent ones. I never mastered the art of climbing the straight ones. I’m in Maui right now and the day after I read your post, I saw a crew of 4 guys up in the palm tress trimming them. I’ll send pictures via your Dad. The machetes are the same, but the orange vests and safety harnesses are a little different!
