Trying to configure an iPad for this trip is a daunting task! What music? What movies? What apps?
Music is easy…at least for me…I have been listening to the same 20 songs for the last 20 years! Just download “Sleeping With The Television On” by Billy Joel, “Sweet Child of Mine” by “Guns & Roses” and the entire Xanadu soundtrack and I am set! Add the best songs from the last 3 seasons of The Voice and you now have my entire music collection 
But Apps are trickier…they have to work on Wifi only and they have to be something that can entertain and educate for a YEAR! An added bonus if they have to do with travel or one of the countries we are going to!
Movies are a similar problem? What is a solid family movie you can watch over and over? Or a great documentary about one of our destinations?
This is where I am enlisting all of you! Please tell us your favorite family movies and iPad apps so we can add them to the list!
So far, here is what we have for Apps:
1) iPhoto
2) iMovie
3) Pages
4) Numbers
5) Kindle App…for the book club
6) Garage Band
7) Stack The States
8) Duck, Duck, Moose
9) Skype
10) Converse (super cool translation app!)
For Movies, we of course have the absolute essentials… Xanadu, Zoolander, Happy Gilmore, The Fugitive, Finding Nemo and Blades of Glory. But what else? Any recommendations that would also add entertainment or education to our trip?
