Very Cool House For Rent In Cannon Beach :)

We came to Cannon Beach yesterday for a quick 2 day trip!  Why? We wanted to get in some last minute surfing, have one more latte at the Sleepy Monk (Saint, I know you are jealous!)  and also prepare our house to be rented for the next year.

Cannon Beach is a magical place and we have had a blast coming down here to the beach over the last 10 years!  It is a quintessential Pacific Northwest destination.  Prior to owning a home, we would stay at the Hallmark which is a great hotel right on the beach.  But when we added up how much we were paying to stay at the Hallmark with 7 people each month, we realized we could pay a mortgage!  Combine that with the fact that Wescott, Yve and Otto have become addicted to surfing and that prompted us to buy a cute 1950s cottage exactly one year ago.  Who knew that we would be leaving on a family gap year one year later?!?  Here are some cool pics of Cannon Beach from the last year:

So after a full scale remodel that was completed a month ago, we are renting out our house starting now!

We are renting it through Vacasa Rentals but before it is opened up to the greater population, Vacasa is letting our friends and family have exclusive access to booking the calendar for the next two weeks.  If you are interested in renting it, you can call/email Crystal Coulter (Property Manager) directly and she will pre-book you to reserve the calendar over the next year.  The calendar is wide open right now! The house is zoned for 6 occupants because it is based on parking spaces…who knew! The rate will be $250-$500/night depending on seasonality.

Best features include:

• Located in West Presidents area of Cannon Beach! 5 houses from beach entrance and easy walk to downtown.  You can park your car and never use it the whole time
• Gourmet Kitchen with Carrera marble countertops
• Two bedrooms with queen sized beds
• TV room with sleeper sofa…really not big enough for a tall adult.  Better for a kid.
• Detached bunkroom …The bunkroom will only be unlocked for people on the friends and family list because it is also our owner’s closet so has all our linens, etc. stored in there
• Outside shower with hot and cold water
• Outside living room with fireplace that has roof to protect from rain

Only CON is that pets are not allowed   Sorry doggies!!!!

Crystal said for friends and family she will allow access to the bunkroom and she will also reduce the cleaning fee from $160 per stay to only $80 because friends and family take much better care of houses than everyone else.
